It’s clichéd to say this, but the main problem you’ll run into here is that there are too many fantastic Raleigh area wedding venues, and you could spend too much time choosing one.
Yes, we know, we know.
But it can actually be a much bigger problem than you think.
Some folks really get hung up on it.
And it’s not hard to understand why.
Plenty of people dream of being married for their whole lives, and your wedding is the first official day of that whole experience.
It makes sense that their choice of venue for the wedding would weigh on them.
Whether or not you are currently feeling so burdened by the decision, though, we are here for you with this short list of some of the most desirable Raleigh area wedding venues.
If you select one on this list, you can rest easy knowing that you’ll be well accommodated and cared for on your wedding day. 💍

1. Haven Farms
Re-defining the term “all-inclusive,” we’re more than just a place to get married.
I mean, we’re that, too.
But we’re also well known and established as a nexus for those interested in holistic health, nature, local culture, and balancing the mind, body, and spirit.
If that sounds like the sort of stuff hippies would be into, well, we’ve hosted plenty of them as well.
We don’t discriminate here, and we welcome anyone who appreciates these gorgeous natural surroundings as much as we do.
From our renovated stable and barn to our open, A-frame pavilion, you’ll easily be able to find an abundance of spots to put on your ceremony and take those ever so vital wedding photos.
We’ve got 40 acres here.
You’ll find spots.
Oh, and did we mention that we have a homestead house on the property that’s also available for you to use?
Come by and have a look around! 😀

The word “stunning” can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people.
But unless there’s something wrong with them, most people would agree that the traditional style, white painted Merrimon-Wynne House qualifies.
It has been a fixture in Raleigh’s historic downtown since it was first constructed in 1876.
In fact, you can walk from the house to the Governor’s Mansion in a few minutes.
And if you want to get philosophical about it, one of the things we like about it on a symbolic level is that 1876 was only 11 years after the end of the Civil War.
That means this house represents, at least to us, optimism and a hope for a brighter future; both things you’ll want to have in your wedding and married life.

Like a few of the other places we’re mentioning in this article, All Saints Chapel was built around 1875, right after the end of the Civil War.
For some inconceivable reason, there was an attempt to schedule this lovely building for demolition back in 2006, but it was thankfully saved from that fate.
Now, it operates as one of the most iconic Raleigh area wedding venues, particularly for those couples who want a classic American wooden church wedding.
We completely understand.
There’s just something about the look and vibe of a traditional American wooden church that captivates you.
It’s cozy without being stuffy, and elegant without being gaudy or show-offy.
And it’s an integral component of the traditional aesthetic that characterizes the American Southeast and gives you a sense of place here.

In case you haven’t noticed a theme yet, we are lovers of history, and we adore traditional American architecture.
And along with the Merrimon-Wynne House, the Sutherland is a terrific example of precisely that kind of historic elegance that we just don’t see as much in new construction these days.
To make things even better, the Sutherland is not located downtown like the Marrimon-Wynne House.
No, it sits on 6 acres of land that is covered in beautiful magnolia and oak trees.
So it’s great for you if you want that classy 18th-century style without needing to be downtown to get it.

5. The Bradford
This one’s a little bit different because it was built not in the traditional 18th-century American style but in the style of a European country manor from roughly the same time period.
However, also unlike the other places we’ve mentioned, despite its appearance, the Bradford is actually one of the newer Raleigh area wedding venues to hit the scene.
It was only built between 2013 and 2014, while many of you were probably in school or college.
The benefit of that is the fact that its owners and creators intentionally planned it as a dedicated wedding and event venue from the start.
This means that everything about the building, the surrounding gardens, and the overall layout of the property was designed with weddings in mind.

Don’t Wait To Schedule A Tour At These Raleigh Area Wedding Venues
While we were not able to be fully comprehensive and cover absolutely all of the Raleigh area wedding venues we could have, we believe we’ve named most of the most important ones.
There are, of course, a number of other great spots in and around this part of North Carolina, but we’d really suggest having a look at these first.
Even if you ultimately select a place that’s not mentioned in this article, you’ll still be better off by checking these ones first.
Like with marriage itself, it’s best to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision before signing anything.
