This Month, we're reading The Sound of Gravel: A Memoir by Ruth Wariner is a New York Times bestseller about her childhood in a polygamous Mormon cult in rural Mexico, detailing her experiences as the 39th of 42 children, the poverty, abuse, and violence she witnessed, and her eventual escape to build a better life for herself and her siblings.
